Melaspas Ceremony at Casa Dewa
To honor Balinese tradition and spiritually inaugurate the new space, a Melaspas Ceremony was held at Casa Dewa on December 31, 2024. In Balinese culture, Melaspas is a sacred purification ritual performed for newly built or renovated buildings, ensuring harmony between the physical environment and the spiritual realm.
This meaningful ceremony—commonly practiced in Bali for homes, shops, and temples—purifies the space from negative energies and invites blessings, protection, and prosperity. Led by a Balinese priest (pemangku), the ritual involved offerings, prayers, and the sprinkling of holy water, accompanied by the melodic sounds of traditional Gamelan music.
The Melaspas was held alongside the Mecaru ceremony, a complementary ritual to harmonize human life with nature and neutralize unseen forces, using offerings like five-colored rice and symbolic items.
This sacred moment marked the opening of Casa Dewa in a way that respects local customs and embraces the deep spiritual values of Bali.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined this unforgettable experience. It’s not just a blessing for the space, but a heartfelt celebration of culture, community, and new beginnings.
